Hi there! I’m Emily – wife to James and mama to our sweet Graham and Simon, who was born at 26 weeks gestation, making us parents of Irish Twins! We live in the Indianapolis area with our mini golden doodle, Ellie. I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I taught kindergarten for 4 years before leaving the classroom to pursue our photography business full-time. Since then, we’ve photographed hundreds of weddings and families together, making our business a true husband & wife team.
Most of the time you can find me playing with the kiddos, sipping a latte, planning our next home update, snuggling a baby, or creating fun activities for our toddler. I love to travel, but am a homebody at heart. Light a candle and give me fresh flowers and my day is instantly brighter.
This new chapter of our lives has been so, so incredible. We are learning, transitioning, loving, and adapting to this new life as a family of 5 (Ellie Jane totally counts). You’re likely to see posts about entertaining the boys, nurturing them to be independent, kind, loving people, life inside and outside the NICU with a preemie, toddler meal ideas, little life hacks, funny stories, living life out loud, our favorite things, and what we’re doing to create great memories + traditions for our family. You’ll find little bits of our daily lives, surviving and thriving while parenting, cultivating happiness in each day, finding joy in the little things, and honoring those who lead us here. It’s my hope you feel heard, supported, and inspired while here and always know that at the end of the day, “everything was good” despite all the challenges that motherhood brings.
